LAHORE: DNA tests of the key suspects in the Hina Javed murder case have been concluded at the Punjab Forensic Science Agency in Lahore, ARY News reported.
The DNA samples of the deceased’s husband, father-in-law, and servant Zeeshan were collected and tested.
The tests were conducted in the presence of the victim’s brother, Fahad Javed.
Meanwhile, during the investigation, the servant Zeeshan confessed to murdering the woman, revealing that Hina’s husband had promised to pay him Rs. 100,000 for the killing.
On the other hand, the prime suspect, Faisal Asghar, and his father both denied the murder allegations.
Rawalpindi police have returned to Rawalpindi after completing the DNA testing process in Lahore.
Earlier, the post-mortem report of Hina Javed, who was allegedly murdered by her husband and domestic worker in Rawalpindi’s Lal Kurti, has revealed important details, ARY News reported.
According to the report, Hina Javed’s neck bone was fractured, while injuries were also found on her ribs and hip bone. Blood was also found around her heart.
The post-mortem was conducted by Dr Maria Khalid around 12 hours after Hina Javed’s death. Her DNA samples were also collected and sent to a forensic laboratory for analysis.
The report stated that the exact cause of death could not initially be determined. Different samples have been sent to the forensic laboratory to establish the final cause of death.
According to the post-mortem report, Hina Javed was allegedly hanged by her husband. However, the exact cause of death will be determined after the forensic reports are received.
Police said the forensic samples collected during the post-mortem were received by Lady Constable Rafia Tabassum.
A murder case has been registered at the Civil Lines Police Station on the complaint of Hina Javed’s brother, Fahad Javed.
Police have arrested Hina Javed’s husband and domestic worker. Both suspects have also been remanded in police custody for three days, while further investigation into the case is underway.
