SEOUL: Nearly a year after her last solo release, Jisoo is giving fans a fresh reason to look forward to September. The BLACKPINK star will release her new single “Click” on Sept. 4, her agency Blissoo announced Tuesday, as the first preview of her upcoming full-length solo album.
The release will mark Jisoo’s first new music since “Eyes Closed,” her October 2025 collaboration with British singer Zayn. This time, she will go solo, with “Click” featuring no other artist, according to an industry source cited by The Korea Herald.
The single will serve as a pre-release for Jisoo’s first full-length solo album, although the album’s release date has not been announced.
The music video for “Click” was directed by Grammy-winning filmmaker Joseph Kahn and filmed in Bangkok. The shoot took place in a northeastern district of the Thai capital, but the exact location has not been disclosed.
Kahn has directed music videos for artists including Taylor Swift, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga and Eminem.

Jisoo debuted with BLACKPINK in 2016 and launched her solo career with the four-track EP “Amortage” in February 2025. The EP topped iTunes’ Top Albums chart in 45 countries and regions.
She is the last BLACKPINK member to release a full-length solo album after the group members ended their individual contracts with YG Entertainment in December 2023 and pursued solo activities through separate labels.
Lisa, Jennie and Rosé have since released solo albums, while Jisoo has also focused on acting alongside her music career.
Her new single is scheduled to arrive less than a week after Jennie releases her physical EP “Fallen Angel” on Aug. 28. The six-track project includes “Fallen Angel,” “Less Than a Lover,” “Sweettooth,” “Lock It Down,” “Face” and “Heaven.”
With “Click,” Jisoo is set to begin a new phase of her solo career while building anticipation for her first full-length album.
