LAHORE – At least five people were killed in a horrific car accident in Lahore, the rescue officials confirmed on Saturday.
A speeding car lost control and crashed into a tree on Canal Road in Harbanspura, Lahore.
The rescue officials said that the accident occurred when a white-coloured car was travelling at high speed and the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to veer off the road and collide with a tree.
Five people travelling in the car died in the crash. Rescue teams reached the scene and shifted the bodies to a nearby hospital.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
The rescue and traffic officials urged the citizens to strictly follow the traffic rules for own safety and security as well of others.
