Severe heat grips Karachi as weather turns intensely dry

City expected to remain under hot spell with temperatures reaching up to 40°C and no rainfall predicted.

Karachi: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast hot and dry weather for Karachi today, with temperatures expected to remain high across the city.

The minimum temperature recorded this morning was 26.5°C, while the city’s temperature was recorded at 31°C earlier today.

The maximum temperature is expected to range between 39°C and 40°C during the day.

Humidity levels were recorded at 48 percent, while westerly winds are currently blowing at a speed of around 9 kilometres per hour.

The sky is expected to remain clear throughout the day, and no rainfall is likely.

With temperatures likely to approach the 40-degree mark, hot and dry conditions are expected to persist across Karachi through the day.
