Australia commends Pakistan’s role in US-Iran talks

Australia has appreciated Pakistan for its role in helping facilitate mediation between the United States and Iran, while also highlighting the need for peaceful solutions to conflicts.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong.

During the call, Penny Wong praised Pakistan’s efforts in promoting diplomacy. Ishaq Dar informed her about the talks held in Islamabad on April 11 and 12, and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to continue encouraging dialogue and constructive engagement.

Both leaders voiced concern over the wider impact on the global economy, particularly for developing countries, and stressed the importance of resolving conflicts through peaceful means.
