As the holy month of Ramazan approaches, Lahore is awakening to a new vibrancy.

Following the special directives of Maryam Nawaz, Chief Minister of Punjab, the Punjab Housing Authority Lahore has launched a citywide campaign to prepare Lahore for the spiritual and cultural essence of the month. Streets, intersections, parks, and green belts are being transformed into glowing pathways of light and tradition, blending modern aesthetics with the sanctity of Ramazan.

Liberty Chowk, Mall Road, and other prominent city hubs are emerging as focal points of this transformation. Ornamental lights twinkle along tree-lined avenues, while Ramadan-themed Islamic motifs and artistic installations offer residents and visitors a visually captivating experience. The initiative aims to create a serene, uplifting environment where the spirit of the holy month can be felt in every corner of the city.

Speaking about the preparations, Raja Mansoor Ahmed, Managing Director of PHA Lahore, said, “In line with the Chief Minister’s vision, we are not just decorating the city—we are enhancing its soul. Every street, park, and intersection is being designed to reflect both the beauty and sanctity of Ramazan, ensuring citizens experience a spiritually dignified atmosphere.” He added that all arrangements, from lighting to landscaping, are being executed with strict attention to detail and quality, promising a visually stunning and harmonious ambiance as the month begins.

The beautification efforts are comprehensive. Beyond the major thoroughfares, residential neighborhoods, marketplaces, and public squares are receiving attention to ensure uniformity in aesthetics and foster a sense of community celebration. Green belts are being spruced up, public parks cleaned and illuminated, and pedestrian areas adorned with lights and motifs that echo the cultural richness of the city.

The initiative represents more than decoration; it is a blend of civic pride, cultural celebration, and spiritual reflection. Lahore residents will not only witness a visually enchanting city but will also feel the city’s heartbeat in tune with the values and traditions of Ramazan. As twilight descends and lights begin to glow, Lahore promises to become a canvas where faith, culture.
