Lahore university extends holidays for one week – Pakistan Observer

LAHORE – The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore has announced a one-week extension to its semester break, providing further relief to students.

In light of this decision, university activities will now resume on February 9, instead of the previously scheduled date of February 2.

UET’s administration clarified that the additional break has been granted to help students manage both their academic and personal matters more effectively.

Students are encouraged to utilize this extended break to better plan their course work and preparations.

In a statement, UET emphasized its ongoing commitment to student well-being, academic standards, and ensuring minimal disruption to the educational process.

The extension in semester break will help students to celebrate the upcoming Basant festival 2026 in Lahore freely. The festival is scheduled for February 6, 7 and 8.
