KARACHI – Authorities hailed Shaheed Furqan Ali for setting a new benchmark of national service by fearlessly carrying out a life-saving rescue operation in massive fire in Karachi that took over two dozens lives.
To mark bravery and supreme sacrifice, Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) announced a comprehensive support package for the fallen firefighter’s family.
Under the decision, KMC will provide employment to the widow of Shaheed Furqan Ali, while taking full responsibility for all educational expenses of his child. In addition, all retirement-related financial benefits and salaries will continue to be paid regularly to the martyr’s widow, ensuring long-term financial security for the bereaved family.
As a lasting symbol of honor and remembrance, it was also announced that the Nazimabad Fire Station will be officially named after Shaheed Furqan Ali, immortalizing his courage and dedication to public service.
Officials said Furqan Ali’s heroic actions have set a shining example of bravery, selflessness, and national duty, and that the nation will remember him as a true hero who laid down his life in the line of duty.
