LAHORE – Dr. Turab Hussain has resigned as the principal of the Aitchison College following allegations of irregularities during meetings of the college’s Board of Governors.
His resignation comes after concerns were raised regarding the conduct of board meetings and the handling of agendas.
The Department of School Education stated that Dr. Hussain stepped down from his role as a board member due to personal commitments.
They also stated that the reduction in the frequency of board meetings was linked to the high compensation offered to members, which impacted the meeting schedule.
Repots suggested that board members were dissatisfied with the lack of communication regarding meeting agendas and raised concerns about irregularities.
Many members also found that the delayed distribution of working papers hindered their ability to effectively participate and contribute during meetings.
